Communication between team members is the foundation for organized and efficient work. One of the main causes of project delivery delays is internal communication failure, which not only slows down the process but also leads to adjustments or rework that could easily be avoided.
With this in mind, COR provides its users with a series of web and email notifications.
To give greater control over these notifications, COR allows users to configure them, choosing which ones they want to receive and how often.
What notifications are received from COR?
The platform provides notifications about all changes made to tasks and projects. In addition, there are notifications about deadlines, time tracking, project profitability, and estimate limits. All these notifications are intended to help prioritize work, make decisions, and, above all, gain predictability over deliveries.
There are mainly three groups of notifications: Projects, Tasks, and General Alerts. Depending on the user's access, they will receive more or fewer notifications on any of these topics.
How do I set up notifications?
To set up notifications, click on your profile picture and select the “Notifications” option from the drop-down menu.
You can also click on the notification bell to the left of your photo, and then on the gear icon in the upper right corner.
In either case, we will be redirected to the “Notifications” section, where we can select which notifications to turn on and which to turn off by sliding the selector to the right for the notifications we want to receive and to the left for those we want to skip
.
Within the notifications that are configurable (there is a set of email notifications that are sent by default and are not configurable), we can configure both the medium and the frequency.
Notifications can be received via the website and/or email.
Web notifications will be displayed on the bell icon, with a red circle indicating the number of unread notifications. These notifications are always instantaneous, so you will see the latest news in real time.
Email notifications will be sent to the email account we use to log in to COR, and the frequency of delivery can be configured by clicking on the arrow to the right of the text “Default summary.”
A menu will appear where you can select whether you want notifications to arrive instantly or if you prefer to receive a summary of grouped notifications, either every 10, 30, or 60 minutes, or on a daily or weekly basis.
In the case of the configuration by via, each type of notification can be configured individually; however, the frequency will be assigned to all notifications belonging to the same group (projects, tasks, or alerts).
